According to previous reports, Nintendo Switch Pro is expected to be released at the end of this year. The latest financial report reveals that Nintendo’s number one priority right now is to solve production problems related to parts shortages. The latest analysis says that Nintendo will not launch a new Switch Pro game console until at least the end of 2023.

When Nintendo showed off the Switch OLED, it meant that the Switch Pro continued to be delayed. The Switch OLED is capable of displaying games at 720p, and even 4K (dock mode) in the most optimistic case. It comes with a 7-inch OLED screen. This device also supports 64GB of built-in storage in handheld mode, up to 720/60 frames, and 1080P / 60 frames in TV mode.

Nintendo Switch Pro needs over a year

Later, after hacking Nvidia, there were reports that the manufacturer is developing the Ampere SoC. The company needs this SoC in order to launch a more powerful Switch model. There were reports this summer that the Nintendo Switch Pro would officially launch this year. However, from the latest developments, it appears that this will no longer be the case.

The analysis claims that at least until the end of Nintendo’s current fiscal year, which is March 2023, the company will deal with production issues of parts shortages. Meanwhile, Nintendo doesn’t seem inclined to make any major revelations. Nintendo’s revenue and profit fell from the previous year. This is because it had to deal with a severe shortage of parts in the second quarter of its fiscal year.

That being said, Nintendo also said that its sales target remains unchanged until March 2023 for the time being. Therefore, the manufacturer will try to mitigate the impact of the parts shortage. In any case, we won’t get new news until next spring. This may mean that the Nintendo Switch Pro won’t officially arrive until at least the end of 2023.
