Nintendo is launching two new tiny retro game consoles dubbed the ‘Genesis Mini 2’ and the ‘Astro City Mini V.’ Serving as follow-ups to the 2019 ‘Genesis Mini’ and the 2021 ‘Astro City Mini,’ the new consoles are improved editions of their predecessors that cater to the retro game console trend. The ‘Genesis Mini 2’ offers a six-button gamepad, plug-and-play functionality and includes over 60 games with greater variety than the original console.

The ‘Astro City Mini V’ provides a carefully chosen playlist of top shoot ’em ups in a variety of genres and tones. Before, several of these were only found in Japanese arcades. Players can pause the game at any point and store their progress on the console, which has infinite credits. While Sega has issued a warning that it is producing fewer ‘Genesis Mini 2s;’ than it did with the original, the Astro City Mini V is totally devoted to one genre of games, making it a niche pick for gaming lovers.
